This publication documents a year long seminar held by the ICA and University of Pennsylvania's Center for Programs in Contemporary Writing held with Kenneth Goldsmith that focuses on the intersection of art and text. This year the project examined The Creation Myth by artist Jason Rhoades. From the book: Using a variety of industrial and commercial materials, Rhoades's large spatial sculpture models the structure and functions of the human body The book itself is meant to be a guide for the reader to mount their own version of the work. It painstakingly outlines all the products to be purchased (via Amazon) and provides concise descriptions of the disposition in space. It also provides some fan fiction along with essays by Goldsmith and editor and Whitney Lauder Curatorial Fellow Liz Park.
